Saturday, June 6, 2015 - So picked this up to compare to the WB thread about IPOB. I reallize I hate the cola/sassafras notes. These come up on the nose. The aromas waft coca cola at me. I never grew up on this stuff so I hate when wine does this. Really sucks. It is subtle and not in your face like others but there it is. On taste the cola notes come through in a balanced way with a long finish. A bit extracted but way too cola for me. I want cherry or plum at least but no I get cola. I hate this. The wine is nice balanced, but coca cola is not what I want in my wine. At least it is not Kanzler which is just fountain syrup. Makes me want to give up on US Pinot.

BTW I don't know where people get cherries on this wine. What cherries are they tasting - from the cola tree? Really not accurate.
