Saturday, September 22, 2012 - First Day of Autumn with Friends (Lake Forest IL): Big and sweet black fruit aromas with plenty of oak and liqueur hints. Very engaging black fruit on palate with a fat, lush character. If tasted blind, I could have thought this New world based on its lushness, but there is a classically Bordeaux elegance on finish. Still, this is very "2003"...not my favorite vintage. Others liked this more than I did today.
