Tuesday, January 1, 2013 - Had the 2002 and 2003 together. The 2002 had a classic Pauillac nose of herbs, cedar, black currants and cassis. Medium body and goo balance. Easy to drink, and very fresh to be 10 years old, but still some tannins left. The 2003 had a more Merlot dominated nose, almost new world, hedonistic, but less elegant and less in balance. More full bodied, but still a bit closed. Needs more time, but I doubt this will ever be a classic Bordeaux.
