Ruby red, clear and very concentrated with great legs. The nose is a disjointed mix of cassis, blackberries, sweet wood and with some medicinal notes. Very ripe but not singing for me yet, I have high hopes that the nose will develop and the disjointed parts come together. The palate is very mouthfilling, with ripe almost syrup like fruit, notes of strong (bitter) blackberries that again are not working for me tonight. The longish finish has fine drying tannins. The stuffing is here for a 95 point wine, but it is not at that level now and I agree with others that it probably should be left in the cellar until 2010 or later.
