Thursday, December 22, 2016 - Decanted... but slow to open up. Underwhelming on the first night... no pronounced fruit on the nose or flavor palate. Some tannins on the finish, but absent more fruit presence, this just made it seem bitter (would have rated it 86). On day two, more fruit came forward and the purple fruit flavors came forward. Tannins seemed more integrated now (rated 88, based on day 2). Still short of noteworthy... and at winery prices, just an average QPR.
