Wednesday, February 24, 2010 - Initially vanilla and cigar box stand out on the nose, with red fruit and lingering tannins on the palate, and fresh acidity on the finish. After letting it sit in the glass for a while, raspberries emerge strongly in combination with cinnamon. The finish goes on and on. There's much more to this bottle than to the 1998 Marbuzet we tasted a few days ago. The oak, fruit, tannins, and acidity are all wonderfully balanced, making this one of my favorites these days.
