91 Points

Friday, August 28, 2015 - While I agree with some of the posters that the fruit is overly sweet at this point, I disagree that the wine does not have stuffing for aging. This is my third bottle (over the last 12 months or so), and while the style of the 2012 is certainly over the top, there is plenty of tannins and well-balanced acidity to cellar the wine. I seriously doubt the wine will not improve in a few years. I will also note that 2012 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection is a major and remarkable, albeit much more expensive, improvement over this regular bottling.
