Monday, November 28, 2016 - Hugely extracted, heavily oaked. Pretty one dimensional. Has a pretty full mouthfeel and a medium+ finish, but not something I'd go back for. 2012 seemed to be a vintage where this bottle changed. The 2010 was more elegant, to my palate, and a much better wine.
I think it's pretty well made and the fruit is extremely focused. I love Napa fruit bombs but I think this is an 87-88 point wine living off of its pedigree (instead of what is in the bottle), which is a shame because every time a vendor takes me to dinner someone wants to order this. Poor QPR.
