Thursday, February 14, 2019 - Excellent wine, worked well for us for home Valentine's dinner.
While I agree it has a touch of sweetness, it had notes of graphite and licorice, the fruit was slightly restrained, was quite elegant and smooth without being thin, great finish and nose. Classic Napa Cab attributes, 100% varietally correct. Fairly complex with a lot of depth, good integration and balance.
We let it breathe for about 5-6 hours, which will get this where it needs to go in this youthful stage. Pop'n'pour will get you a mediocre outcome. Definitely a great experience with this wine....we came away being glad we opened this today...again...needs air!
