Monday, March 30, 2015 - Dinner over, guests gone, dishes washed, sitting with the final glass of this wine after 4-1/2 hrs open. This sure was a hedonistic plunge on a monday night. Dark as night, deep pure dark ripe blackberry with tobacco and saddle leather. Intense, concentrated and layered dark fruit flavors, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. The acidity pierces through all the fruit before the tannins kick in and balances out the entire package. Just a baby but it's not my first infanticide/rodeo/corkpuller moment. Painfully delicious.
