90 Points

Thursday, July 27, 2006 - 2003 Bordeaux (Mouton, Haut Brion, Cos, Ducru, Trotanoy, Lynch, many others): Dark red color. The nose is fairly closed giving subdued red fruit and tobacco. This is much bigger in the mouth, however, showing big, soft red fruit. Much more fruit than structure. Decent length. Note that I retasted this approximately two hours later and it was much more impressive. The nose had blossomed, and more structure had emerged. You definitely want to decant this wine for a few hours before serving it.
