Wednesday, August 16, 2023 - From memory -- this struck me as in a perfect phase for my taste, with the fruit still fresh (perfect ripeness, more red than black), spice well present, and tertiary notes of leather and old book rounding it out. Palate is balanced and tannins smooth but still present. Loved it with chicken, but this can stand up to much bigger fare without issues, or be a great meditation wine on its own.
