Sunday, August 4, 2019 - This was a gift from a co-worker from 4 years ago when I retired. We had made plans to "get together" but you know how it goes and sadly many of those plans go unfulfilled.
Anyway I did a Coravin taste on Monday and had a couple of small pours. At that point if I scored it would have been a 90 pointer as it seemed simple after a burst of decent blueberry fruit. Well come Thursday and Sunday after I popped the cork and it went to 91 then 93 points tonight. Impressive mixture of fruit and spice. The extra time in bottle under vacu-vin improved the nose and lengthened the finish. Was really digging the last glass and sad to see the bottle empty.

I need to do a double blind study, but it seems like wines I've Coravin'd are a little smoother/better when I open the bottle. And it doesn't seem to matter if it's been a few days or a few months. Cheers!

I am impressed with Coravin and have never had a bad bottle that had been tasted with the Coravin.
