Monday, February 7, 2011 - Plenty of life left. Very savory and a bit coarse upon initial opening, with wet earth, tar, violets, and a hint of bell pepper. Evolved quickly with air time, picking up notes of sweet dark fruits, chocolate, and black olive, while considerably smoothing out in texture. The greenness that seemed evident upon first pour quickly receded. Kept improving over the course of the evening, the best glass was the last. Drink or hold a few more years.
