Wednesday, August 24, 2016 - Medium dark red color with moderate transparency. Mixture of red and black fruit aromas with tertiary sweet leafy notes. Palate has initial hit of ripe blackberry and strawberry which transforms mid-taste into a more stewed fruit element, finishing with a black tea and dried leaf finish that is medium long. Sort of a weird place between young and old for my tastes, but enjoyable and will likely still be interesting when the fruit flavors subside. Drink up if you like fruit or wait. For me, best years past.
