Saturday, May 17, 2014 - I got this as part of a promotion for less than 6,90 €, and at that price it has a good qpr.
It is a decent basic warm climate Merlot, nice dark transparent ruby with garnet edges displaying, sweet tasting, lots of dark cherry offering, with mild tannins finishing, medium acidity having, a pretty annoying petrol twist containing, easy drinking, somewhat simple food wine.
It was helpful in identifying some characteristics of Merlot, in contrast to the far superior 2010 Château Clairac, a more cool climate Merlot style, thus making me curious about this grape. But beyond that, I see no reason to drink this wine again.
