Wednesday, June 10, 2015 - A terrific effort. I don't have much to add to the other reviews; it's generally true the if you like this style of wine, this is your Petrus. An amazingly dark colour reveals a surprisingly nuanced mouthfeel that is very hard for many comparable winemakers to achieve (granted not many cost as much). On the nose there is so much - dark fruits, some sous-bois, cedar, and burnt embers. For such a young wine, its really well balanced, tannins are present but (as you'd suspect) not overwhelming. Decanted and after an hour it didn't lose a beat. The only small disagreement I have with some of the other posts is I that I don't necessarily think this will get better with age. Easily drink now for 10+yrs but not with the hopes of improving it. Good enough to go right now.
