Saturday, February 26, 2011 - Texture is what strikes me most; so smooth and sily, it's almost odd how smooth. Creem berry pie (whatever that is). No pepper or spice or meat. No alcohol apparent at all and I was looking! Listed at 14.5%. Seemless. Just the tiniest amounts of earth, leather and coffee. slightly floral, perfomed nose. Day 2 - palate has filled out a mit but not changed. A very, very nice wine but not my idea of a typical Syrah. Decanted 2 hrs.
