Tuesday, August 28, 2012 - Dinner at Dovetail, NYC: Deep red color. Aromas of ripe red and dark fruit, some spice as well. Similar flavor profile on the palate, with subtle notes of iron. Somewhat masculine in character but soft at the same time. Mature and quite transparent. This wine has always been and continues to be very Volnay and Pitures in character. Wonderful and peaking now.
