Tuesday, February 14, 2017 - A ripe and round modern Cabernet that is drinking beautifully right now. Dark purple in color, full in body, enticing nose of boysenberry, tree bark, and pencil shavings. Tastes of ripe blueberry, raspberry, cedar, and licorice, with a sweet and integrated finish (read: dusty tannins, but not very imposing). 15.2% alcohol. This is the best Quivet I've tasted so far, though it is a touch too tart and sweet for me. At the same time, I was charmed by the depth of fruit - while maintaining balance. Drink now or in next few years.
