Tuesday, May 27, 2014 - Unreleased... Wow, I may be a bit biased, but Zach Lawrence really did a fabulous job on this wine. Beautiful raspberry, cherry, strawberry fruit on this wine with cedar and an herbal undertone (think basil/slight mint/marjoram). Hints of mushroom on the finish. Just a beautiful wine, true to the varietal, appellation, and year. Very young now, but showing incredible promise. If I were to be super critical, it is slightly hot. Enough acidity and purity of flavors to go for some time and improved greatly with a 2.5 hour decant. That said, should be great in 3-7 years. 90 now... With decant. Excited to see where this goes and to experience future vintages with this vineyard.
