Tuesday, March 7, 2017 - PnP, consumed over several hours. Deep dark color. Nose shows cassis, blackberry, graphite, hint of coffee and oak--really like the nose. On the palate not over concentrated (yay) red and black fruits, more graphite, finishes like Earl Grey tea. Nicely balanced with the acids up front the tannins need a little more time to integrate or serve with proper food. Given how some CA cabs demand 3 figures as a starting point I feel this over delivers at 1/2 that and way over delivers at the $30 I paid earlier this year locally.
