Friday, December 12, 2014 - Allowed to breathe for thirty minutes prior to opening. A very good, full bodied and earthy red Rhone blend that is approachable in 2014 and could also benefit from a few years. Appeared deep garnet in color, almost opaque, with a medium number of fast descending legs. On the nose it was full with spice, blackcurrant, and bilberry. On the palate it was present with black pepper, spice, oak, blackcurrant, prominent earth, and green bell pepper. It was complex and rounded with tannins that had grip. The finish was lingering and nice.
