Saturday, April 12, 2014 - From a pretty nice looking bottle with a 4 cm fill, this wine had a deep red center and orange rims. The medium intensity nose displayed boysenberries, brown spices, and soil. It also evidenced some over ripeness (or rot).
The mouth took a couple of hours to get to the right place. It was ripe with light rounded tannin and some length.
Overall, this a nice mature wine with some noticeable flaws. My guess is that even pristinely stored bottles should be consumed.
