Thursday, June 8, 2017 - Jugged for an hour beforehand in a cool decanter at TRB in Beijing (see above), this was a cracker of a Brunello from an excellent vintage. Even though it was their "standard" wine, it was full of flavour and complexity: red cherries and sweet spice kicked things off on nose and palate, before a beautiful floral angle bought delicacy to proceedings. Powerful and rich, yet light on its feet, this has absolutely years left in it. A real winner.
