Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - Very typical of the good left bank wines of 2003, the wine is entering into its optimum drinking window. It has a deeply perfumed nose of pure blackcurrent and on the palate the tannins have resolved giving good fruit well balanced with harsher notes. With a decent finish, although not up there with the best St Juliens and St Estephes of the vintage, I would venture to say that it is the best Lagrange drinking are present. Decanting is recommended, and I would think it has a good few years ahead staying at this level.
