There is nothing wrong with this Zin, it just does not have that "pop" of in your face fruit us Zin lovers crave. Decanting did not accomplish much. The oak seems artificial. There is a mild tree sap flavor I am not a fan of. Superb dark color. I would not call the nose fruity, but there is a nice component of fruit. The palate has mulberry, vanilla and tree sap. Typical Zin acidity. A little weak, at least on the mouth feel, darkj fruit finish.
