Sunday, October 15, 2023 - Decanted for 30 mins. Medium ruby color with nice clarity and some bricking towards the edges. Nose of ripe red cherry, cherry cough drop, touch of brown sugar and sweet baking spice and a hint of something in the mint/herbal family. Similar flavors on the palate with ripe red fruit, slightly baked in the forefront with some of the herbal and cough drop notes on the back end. High, mouthwatering acidity. Tannins still very present as well but not in a bad way. Better with food than on its own but this is a very nice bottle of Barolo at a good stage in its development. Drink or hold.
