Wednesday, August 1, 2012 - Drank over 2hrs. Did not decant. A really pleasant surprise. Vibrant nose of black berries, coffee, and some wood. More dark fruit, coffee and beefy notes on the palate which was silky and full in the mouth. This did seem a little more evolved than I would have expected, but I supposed that is the vintage. A medium, smooth finish. Clearly will hold, but good right now.
