Sunday, April 24, 2016 - Pop n' pour and enjoyed over 2-3 hours with food. Medium-full nose has dark red fruit framing with notes of espresso, cedar and tobacco adding complexity. Palate is mid weight with round (though by no means roasted) fruit, velvety tannin and moderate acidity. There's some nice complexity and depth as the wine moves along it's aging curve. I like where this is now and suspect we're in a peak drinking window that should last 10+ years. Classy and finessed. A very nice low/mid end Bordeaux that has rewarded cellaring.
