Saturday, May 11, 2019 - 30+ minute decant. Could probably use more. Dark red color. Menthol, Cherry, and Meat/BBQ on the nose. Wine is very fruit forward and lacks the earthiness I was looking forward to. Some oak I didn’t expect as well. Medium finish that is ever so harsh. I absolutely loved the 2000 vintage and thought this would be better, but it wasn’t even close. Solid Bordeaux but not what I was expecting.
