Saturday, May 25, 2019 - Dark centre, medium brick robe, bright brick red rim. Very glowing in colour. Medium intensity, soft earthy with currant and blackcherry fruit notes, complex, nuanced, hints of mint, tobacco and cassis. Smells fantastic. Medium bodied, juicy, nice acidity, soft sweet fruit blackberry, some cherry and a note of blackcurrant, tobacco, leather on the finish. This is awesome, totally what youwould hope for in an aged bordeaux. Hope the rest of the bottle is as good tomorrow.

Probably faded a little overnight (contrast the 2001 Penfolds Bin 389). This was very soft, mature and nicely balanced. Completely delicious to drink, but would think I'll be drinking my last bottle soonish.
