Wednesday, January 13, 2021 - Absolutely delicious and in a great drinking window. A rich garnet colour indicates its age, but this still has plenty of life and energy too. Lovely complex nose of rich cassis and plums, and secondary notes of floral, graphite and tobacco. In the mouth, it was really well balanced, with rich dark fruits, a lovely silky feel, and plenty of energy across the palate. Finish was medium/long with sweet tannins, and even a hint of caramel towards the end. Loved this.
