Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - Solid CdP entering maturity. Spice cake, sandalwood, and iodine on the nose. Palate is smooth and rather round, with a hint of heat, but adding iron, blood, and mature dried red fruits to the mix. Moderate finish with a little tar coming in with mature fruit. Lacking a little complexity on the finish to go to the next level. Very approachable though may not have been the best stored example. (Winebid) lacks a little freshness that I associate with this producer.
