Thursday, February 1, 2024 - Opaque garnet. This was an excellent wine with its dark fruit, creosote, fresh tobacco and earthy notes at the fore all overlayed with a sweetness reminiscent of the ripe fruit. This wine shows quite young and vibrant with a long grippy finish which belies the torrid heat of the vintage. Just entering its prime drinking window with lots of time on the clock for further development. Delicious.

2/4/2024 6:52:00 PM - Hi LIOF, the restaurant had no decanter (!!) so we opened and let it stand in the bottle for an hour before pouring by the glass. The last sips about 90 minutes later were the best. Based on my experience with this bottle, about 2 hours in a decanter would work wonders. Enjoy!
