Thursday, May 14, 2015 - Henri Giraud Visit (Ay, France): Nose: The nose is deeply layered with a richness to it with brioche, baked bread, red apples, some wood, biscuits, and berry notes. The depth and layering on the nose is absurd and makes you just want to bury your nose in the glass.

Taste: Full bodied with medium/high acidity. The acidity is certainly there and it shows off the relative youth of the wine. There is also slight oxidative note to the wine that is rather attractive along with brioche, baked bread, red apples, some wood, and berry notes.

Overall: Exquisite! This was a real treat and highlight. All of the wood is sourced from the Argonne Forrest and this just has a level of poise to it that makes you want to stop and just take your time with it.
