Community Tasting Note

Friday, October 7, 2016 - Decanted for 45min or so, could have used more air. The nose is high-toned and red-fruited with notes of cherry, tar and roses with some mushroom as well, in other words very classic. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and quite resolved. There is structure but it has rounded out quite a bit. The flavor profile is correct and tasty, is somewhat one-dimensional. You are not fooled to think you are drinking something grand, while it is a well made wine. A perfectly nice, dry and savory expression, I do not mind drinking this instead of a Langhe Nebbiolo from a solid producer.
