Sunday, May 22, 2016 - Well we forgot about this one and found it in the cellar last weekend. Oops. Clearly past its prime (and I am all for mature wines). In any event, since I see there are still 32 bottles of this in your collective cellars, I will provide a tasting note. Pale amber color. Nose of light butterscotch, grilled marshmallow, banana bread and a touch of witch hazel. Slightly madeirized on the palate; still has some acidity (not a ton). Underlying oak is obvious throughout. As it sits in the glass, the campfire note comes out more prominently.
