This tastes like a California wine ( and I mean that in a good way) because you can actually taste it; a unique terroir for chardonnay comes through. It is like some French wines in its structure and lack of oak and circumstance. It is also not so alcoholic. High acid, citrus and mineral character, faintly and pleasantly herbal - I think this will get better with time. If you like the usual California chardonnay, you will probably not like this wine.
