Friday, November 20, 2015 - Aged beaujolais is hard to find, but this was a nice example. It doesn't really resemble aged Burgundy either. Still plenty of that raspberry/pomegranate gamay fruit, with a lot of earthy structure that made this nicely complex, really this is about the soil/earth character. Lots of acid, held up well to red sauce Italian. Not the most elegant wine, but quite nice.
