Friday, August 30, 2019 - 70’s Bordeaux Blind Tasting: 1st bottle on 1st flight - Nose of preserved prunes, preserved plums, musky, some dried flowers, chrysanthemum. Tasted dried plums, preserved prunes, herbs, soil, pickles, with blood iron and dates tertiaries. Nice long spiced finish. Tinge of ammonia kicked in after some time, which was slightly disturbing. Best bottle for the 1st flight (alongside Montrose 1973 and Pontet Canet 1978).
