Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - PnP:
Red raspberry compote, slight leather and mineral notes on the nose. Not a ton going on with this wine as its pretty youthful and very tight. Medium- (almost watered down) bodied with strong tannins. Nice red raspberry compote on the palate, a hint of red cherry and faint hints of baking spices in the mid-palate and some tar on the finish. Unfortunately, I opened this wine by accident and intended to let it sit for another 5 years. It needs at least that amount of time to reach its potential.
