This 2011 Catena Zapata White Stones Chardonnay is one of the best whites I have tasted from Argentina, barrel fermented Tasted blind - Chardonnay like but quite certain it wasn’t from Burgundy. Bright lemons and sugary tree fruits, ultra-ripe fruits with creamy lactic body. The fruit concentration and phenolic ripeness reminds me of warm climate Chardonnay, European? (86/100)
