Wednesday, April 1, 2015 - Deep garnet color. Nice zinny nose of blackberries, slightly sweet cassis, some smoke, hard spices. Rich and full on the palate, with coffee notes joining blueberry flavors. Acid balance is moderate, neither soft nor tart. Finishes well, with a wave of earthy fruits and very light tannins. Full-bodied and rich overall, but not overbearing. Nice.
