Wednesday, December 26, 2018 - Slo-ox for one hour. Aromas of dark red and blue fruits, earth, and a touch of smoke. The medium palate shows these same dark red and blue fruits, earth, and some spice. The acidity is relatively balanced, and the tannins are integrated. Not sure it will develop any further, so drink up in the next few years.
Overall, an interesting syrah from Napa Valley, but without the presence we find in syrahs from Paso or even Sonoma (RRV). Drank this head-to-head with the Terry Hoage Hedge Syrah '11 and it could not compete.
