Sunday, December 25, 2011 - I was very curious about his wine. Initially, there was a lot of funk and sulphur in the wine. It took a couple of hours for the funk to blow off. Once it did, this was an incredible wine. It has a depth of fruit and texture that is on par with the best wines on any continent. Not only was the Cab fruit on perfect display in a unique terroir profile, but the texture of the wine reminded me of the texture I've previously experienced in first growth bordeaux wines. This was a real treat. Give it 3-4 hours to open up. If you do, you will not be disappointed in any way.
