Thursday, December 19, 2013 - Tasted blind, this wine had a purple/red center with light red/orange rims. The high- intensity nose offered up mocha, cherries, cloves, and soil.
In the mouth, this wine was very rich and ripe. In fact, it was so ripe that I thought it was a bit monolithic. It did have some interesting flavors, decent acidity, and good length.
This was an interesting wine but the over-ripe element made it a bit one dimensional in the mouth which was a negative for me. Drink'em if you got'em.
