Thursday, April 16, 2015 - PnP, straight out of the bottle the nose is very expressive with the characteristic Esquisto note of pepper, a little stronger here than in previous vintages. On the palate there is a pronounced bitterness - not unpleasant, but perhaps a shade unbalanced - and the nice pepper note again, along with a tiny bit of dark & red fruit. This is young and perhaps not in equilibrium at this early stage, but still beautifully expressive and distinctive. Over an hour the bitterness mellows. This is another wonderful Halcon wine, with a bright future ahead.
