Thursday, May 21, 2015 - Thoroughly impressed with this engaging, singular bottling. The nose intrigues from the start, with wax, elderflower, lemon curd, and a nutty rancio edge. The palate commands attention: loads of lemon/lime, faint nutty/butterscotch, tart apple, but the show-stealer is the searing acid spine that holds it all together. The wine only gains force as it gets to room temperature, the acid becoming even more commanding. This wine absolutely needs food, and performs beautifully at the table with seafood and risotto.
