Saturday, October 3, 2009 - Blind Red Throw Down! (Our House (2033 Brandywine St., Philadelphia)): We drank the Fonseca 77 several weeks ago. This was a far cry from the Fonseca, which was fresh and bright. This labored a bit. Not "old" but not as young as the Fonseca. There was noticeable heat throughout. Raisin and plum on the nose, with a hint of secondaries. Chocolate covered raisin on the palate. A little too much heat here, which really clips the finish.
